Thanks for stopping by to learn more about me!
I'm Morgan, the heart and soul behind Spreading Lovely. Ever since I can remember, I've craved love stories, you know, the ones that feed your soul and warm your heart. I'm a sensitive and deeply emotional person, which I believe helps keep me in tune to my client's thoughts and helps me connect to them on a deeper level. I will pour my love into your wedding day, and I will most definitely shed a tear or two of happiness at your wedding.
I am thoughtful with my design, and believe each element incorporated should have a purpose - whether that is balance, texture, personalization or an unexpected wow factor. I love helping my clients realize their wedding plans - whether you want a small, intimate ceremony, or a large wedding - I will be there to guide you through this process as an experienced team member, and also as your friend. I serve people who are looking for a planner to be the voice of reason, who desire to have a wedding that is completely their own, and who may be slightly untraditional in their wedding vision. I'll be there to manage logistical, organizational, design and styling aspects of your wedding start to finish. My clients are equally passionate about love and helping make the world a better place. I partner with Girls Not Brides to donate a portion of my profit each year to this phenomenal organization. That's where the "spreading love" part of my business name comes into play.
I've known I wanted to work in the wedding industry since my early 20's, and began my career working in non-profit events in 2009, I joined the wedding industry in 2012 and was instantly hooked! As a wedding planner & designer, I’m honored to have been showcased on wedding blogs such as Green Wedding Shoes, 100 Layer Cake, Smitten, Wedding Sparrow and featured in print in C Magazine.
When I’m not busy dreaming about fresh takes on design concepts, or developing my clients wedding plans, you can find me taking in the fresh air outside hiking, snuggling with my cats, picnicking with friends, volunteering at the SPCA, trying new restaurants, planning my next travel adventure, eating gelato, or spending the day playing with my adorable nieces and drinking a glass of wine with my family.
If you still want to hear more, here are five things you might not know about me:
My husband Dave and I were matched by my sorority as pen pals while he was on his first deployment in Afghanistan and we met for the first time when he returned stateside in January 2010 in Seattle. He was in 2nd Ranger Battalion out of Fort Lewis, WA and I was attending college at University of Washington. We just got married August 19, 2017!
I have five adorable nieces and two nephews. Being their auntie and watching them grow brings me so much happiness and fills my heart to the brim.
I am a vegetarian because I have a strong compassion and love for animals and animal welfare.
My favorite part of every wedding are the toasts when I get to hear more about my clients from their friends and family. I love watching the couple's faces light up when they are showered with such kind and intimate words from the people they love.
- I lived in Seattle for 5 years and try to find any excuse to get back up there!
Still here? Let's connect - I'd love to hear from you!
