I'm Morgan, the heart and soul behind Spreading Lovely. Ever since I can remember, I've craved love stories, the kind that warm your heart and feed your soul. I'm sensitive and perceptive with emotions, which keeps me in tune to my client's feelings and helps me connect on a deeper level. I will pour my love into your wedding day, and I will most definitely shed a tear or two of happiness at your wedding.
I am thoughtful with design. Each element incorporated should have a purpose - whether that is visual balance, texture, personalization or an unexpected wow factor. I love helping my clients bring together their wedding plans. Whether you want a small, intimate ceremony, or a large wedding, I will be there to guide you as an experienced team member, and friend. I serve clients looking for a planner to be their voice of reason, who want a beautiful wedding that is completely their own. I'll be there to manage logistical, organizational, design and styling aspects of your wedding start to finish. My clients are also passionate about love and helping make the world a better place. I partner with Girls Not Brides to donate a portion of my profit each year to this phenomenal organization. That's where the "spreading love" part of my business name comes into play.
I've known I wanted to work in the wedding industry since my early twenties, and began my career working in non-profit events in 2009. I joined the wedding industry in 2012 and was instantly hooked! As a wedding planner & designer, I’m honored to see my work on wedding blogs such as Green Wedding Shoes, 100 Layer Cake, Wedding Sparrow and in C Magazine.
When I’m not working, I love to hike, snuggle my cats, try new restaurants, hang with my adorable nieces, and plan my next travel adventure.
If you still want to hear more, here are five more things you might not know about me:
My husband Dave and I were matched by my sorority as pen pals while he was on his first deployment in Afghanistan. We met for the first time when he returned stateside in January 2010 in Seattle. He was in 2nd Ranger Battalion out of Fort Lewis, WA and I was attending college at University of Washington. We got married August 19, 2017 and it was my favorite day
I have five adorable nieces and three sweet nephews! Being their auntie and watching them grow brings so much happiness and fills my heart to the brim.
I am a vegetarian because I have a strong compassion and love for animals and animal welfare.
My favorite part of every wedding are toasts. I love watching each couple's faces light up when they hear kind and intimate words from those they love.
I am an introverted extrovert. This helps me make great connections with others and communicate easily. But I also love to take a step back to listen and understand before speaking. I live for the excitement and energy of weddings, but after a long days work you can find me embracing my alone time.
Still here? Let's connect - I'd love to hear from you!
