I've been absolutely so fortunate in the fantastic couples that I've worked with, and continue to work with. And these two were no exception. Erin and Paul were those people that as soon as you meet, you instantly feel like you are so lucky to have met them - they're warm, funny, and incredibly well balanced; I couldn't wait to work with them!
I loved that they had a true design aesthetic that was very "them" - they liked clean lines and a neutral palette, but still wanted the day to feel warm and energetic. We added touches that felt true to their taste with velvet gray linens, sleek marbled chargers, and kept up the modernity with copper accents with chairs, flatware, ceremony arbor and seating chart piping. Acrylic provided the perfect compliment to the urban feel and was used for their bar menus, seating chart and table numbers. While the day was fairly monochromatic, our florals provided a beautiful compliment to the shades of gray and pops of deeper cosmos helped to add depth to their floral arrangements. I think the "fun, elegant, and comfortable" vibe was evident, and couldn't have been executed at a more perfect urban venue for them, The Pearl.
Their ceremony took place in the afternoon sun on The Pearl's rooftop. My firm belief is that the ceremony sets the tone for the rest of the day and should be a big piece of the planning process. Erin and Paul had one of the most personal and meaningful ceremonies I've ever heard. With their close friend officiating, there was an incredible mix of laughter, tears and so much joy which really got their guests engaged right from the start.
I couldn't be happier to extend the biggest congratulations to these two!
