These two met in Toronto at a dive club called The Supermarket on a 50’s night. Natalia still in her uniform from work spotted Marek; from that moment on, they would be together. These two overcame such obstacles in their relationship to be together that they got married 6 years prior in a civil ceremony to cross country lines. They always dreamed of the wedding they never had, so I knew I needed to nail this day for them!
Natalia and Marek are both Polish, Natalia growing in Toronto, and Marek having grown up in several cities around the world. As a magazine editor and publisher of Lone Wolf, Natalia has impeccable taste and style. Needless to say, their design was one of my favorites to work on to date!
We settled on a sophisticated, bohemian and whimsical day for them, which I think was executed perfectly. From the bold, juicy blooms, to the effortlessly flowing runner, natural wood elements, boho lounge set ups, and Natalia’s dress - the day came together perfectly.
Both being Polish, they are used to the tradition of weddings lasting all night, so it was imperative the venue allow a late night. After the DJ concluded, guests gathered around a fire-pit and listened to their musically talented friends on the guitar - the perfect end to a beautiful day.
